The REFRESCA Festival is a free summer festival offering four days of music, socialising and refreshing flavours. With live concerts, DJs and street food, the event attracts a diverse audience, creating a relaxed and festive atmosphere by the river.
Praça do Comércio and Terreiro da Erva will host the FolKoimbra festival. An event dedicated to folk music and folk groups from the municipality and the region, it features a diverse programme of entertainment, as well as drinks, food and snacks prepared by the groups participating in the event.

Encontros Mágicos (Magical Encounters) is returning to Coimbra from 16 to 21 September. The largest and oldest Portuguese magic festival, organised by the Coimbra City Council (CM) and under the artistic direction of Luís de Matos, presents six days of intense programming, with a focus on promoting the art of creating illusions to diverse audiences. Tickets for the international galas of the 29th edition of Encontros Mágicos – Coimbra International Magic Festival are now on sale.
The race, open to all classes of dinghies and small sailboats with movable keels, is, as has become tradition, a charity event in aid of Casa Acreditar de Coimbra. Thus, the registration fees of the participating sailors will be donated in full to Casa Acreditar, and other initiatives are underway to collect donations in kind for that institution.
The pre-war classics recall the first motor race on the Iberian Peninsula, linking Figueira da Foz to Lisbon.
ACP Clássicos will hold the Figueira da Foz – Lisbon Raid on 18 and 19 October to celebrate the 123rd anniversary of this race, which was first held in 1902 and gave rise to the Automobile Club of Portugal the following year.
